The landlord is fixing up a lot of the empty apartments here, but come on! Is it really neccesary to wake folks up so early on the damn weekend?

A small plane just exploded and crashed in East Palo Alto, Ca - not far from where my mom lives. One wing slammed into one house, the other into another house, and the fussilage is burning on the corner of Beech and Pulgas...no one on the ground was killed as far as we know, but the three people on the plane are dead. There are 5 -6 fires as a result of the crash.
I called my mom to see if she had any power, as thousands in East Palo Alto, Palo Alto, and Menlo Park (where my mom is) don't - she has power, thank God. The ol' lady had no clue as to what's going on right now; I told her to turn on the news.

Valentine's Day is so biased for men though - I always thought it odd that all of the advertisers and retailers seem to push guys into buying shit for women...it is extremely rare to see it the other way around. Like - would a woman be in the doghouse if she didn't get her man a dozen roses? Well, maybe not...but if she forgot to get him season tickets for his favorite team? Or an electronic gadget? Would she be given the evil eye and denied man-meat for a few days?

My oldest nephew - Ajani - sent me a few text messages telling me to go check my mailbox for a birthday present...I've been out of it for a few days, so I haven't bothered to get my mail. I got a text from him last night asking me if I got the package yet - I told him that I'd check first thing in the morning. He replied with "Go look when you can - the treasure is waiting"...???
So, when I get my mail, his box was there. When I opened it, I discovered an iPod! I've only been wanting one of them for ages, but couldn't afford it.
I called him immediately to say thank you, and jokingly asked why he gave me a gift now, as he really never did before. He said "Mimi - I finally have a good paying job, and I can buy gifts now!" I laughed...and asked him if Apple needed any grunts for work. They dont. And now, I have to fugure out how to use this thing, but I'm so happy that I have it! Sweet!

Don't read any further - especially if you are eating - as this entry is pretty gross...
I felt pretty good yesterday...I still don't eat a lot, but I guess the combination of what I ate fucked me up later on...for breakfast, I had three cups of coffee (should have only had two), a tiny petite scone, and a slice of lemon pound cake (from Starbuck's). Later in the day, I made a grilled salami and cheese sandwich, with a few chips and a class of gingerale...that was it.
At about 8 pm I began to feel wierd - I was dizzy, and kept breaking out in a sweat. My stomach started churning, and I ran to the bathroom - just in the nick of time for the diarhea explosion. Right after that, saliva began to pool in my mouth, and I knew that I was gonna' puke. I ran to the bathroom again, and started throwing up.
About ten minutes later, I had to puke AND shit...so, I grabbed a handful of plastic bags from the kitchen, in order to puke into them while the rest of my life drained away through my ass on the toilet...
This went on all night - puke AND shit, puke AND shit - from about 8pm to 8am - 12 hours of Hell!
Right now, my stomach muscles and lower back are killing me; I am so tired right now - I feel as if I were hit by a truck.

It is an old saying; time fears the Pyramids because the pyramids seem to be the only things that have not been destroyed by time...they are almost ageless.
They are the only wonders left from the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing...and the oldest from the list. (On the list - the Great Pyramid)... I could go on and on, but this should suffice.

Last night, I watched the first two episodes of Starz's 'Spartacus' online...wow!
Very violent - bloody in that artistic '300' kind of way. Lots of nudity too.
I had to laugh at the disclaimer before each episode though, stating that the show was being historically accurate. I saw many inaccuracies, but will focus on just one: women and body hair. The blonde chick looked like she had a bikini wax. Plus, many women - particularily the 'barbarians' - had perfectly shaved legs and armpits. Just sayin'.
Well okay - there were also a lot of uber-beautiful people with perfect teeth and skin - not all were rich pampered Romans...
But the show was still entertaining, and I'm now hooked - LOL!

An acquaintance/former co-worker just found me on Facebook! I was just thinking about her and another friend a few days ago! And I even have a pic of her in my portfolio...LOL!
She was really nice and funny - pretty too. I can't even recall why we drifted. She wasn't a close friend, but a cool one nonetheless, so it is nice that I got a message from her. I hope that we will be able to catch up after all of these years!

I can't really afford it, but what the fuck...I don't remember the last time I bought clothes. Since today is my birthday, (and I lost a lil' weight) I went to the local mall and bought some jeans, an awesome red shirt, and some black Converses - LOL! And it all cost @ $120.00.
And my mom bought a printer for me - I should be getting that any day now. (If my monitor dies, I may get a new one from Birra).
Oh - and I bought about 16 pieces of See's candy - yum!
